President Atta Mills congratulates Satellites

Accra, Jan. 26, GNA-President John Evans Atta Mills on Monday congratulated the players, technical and management team of the Black Satellites for qualifying to this year's FIFA World Cup slated in September.

A statement issued in Accra by Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson said, in appreciation of the performance, the President had decided to offer the team a qualification bonus similar to the winning bonus at the group stages of the competition.

The statement wished the players and management of the team the best of luck in their subsequent matches at the on-going African Youth Championship in Rwanda and hoped that their sense of patriotism would spur the team on to work harder to win gold at the tournament. 26 Jan. 09
