Presidential Lounges are exclusive areas at stadiums

Accra, April 1, GNA - The National Sports Council (NSC) has reminded the general public that the Presidential Lounges at all stadiums under its jurisdiction are exclusive specially reserved for some notable personalities in the country. A Press Release issued in Accra and signed by Mr Albert Agboso, the acting Chief Executive Officer of NSC copied to the GNA Sports said the Lounges are reserved specifically for the President and his Vice as well as the Speaker of Parliament.

The others include the Chief Justice, members of the Council of State, Ministers of state, Commander of the Ghana Armed Forces, the Inspector General of Police, the Director of Prisons, the Chief fire Officer, the director of Immigration and Club Chairmen. Mr Agboso said all other persons can have access to the presidential Lounge only if they have been issued with invitation cards by the Council.

He further advised that persons wearing shorts or knickers and also children are not allowed to use the Lounge.

The NSC has therefore cautioned only persons who satisfy the conditions would be allowed into the Presidential Lounge during the Hearts of Oak versus Kumasi Asante Kotoko GT Premier League decider on Sunday, April 3 at the Ohene Djan Sports stadium in Accra and subsequent football matches and the access to the Box will remain so until further notice.

The acting Chief Executive Officer therefore appealed to all and sundry to co-operate with the Council. Meanwhile he said security measures have been put in place to ensure that the directives are complied with.
