Prestea Huni-Valley MP supports secondary school sporting activities in Tarkwa-Prestea Huni-Valley Zone

Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni-Valley, Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, recently brought the 2nd Cycle Schools Games and Athletics event for Senior High Schools in the Tarkwa-Prestea Huni-Valley zone to a successful conclusion.

The event, which aims to promote sports and athletics among students, featured the MP delivering an inspiring speech on the importance of sports in our education system.

During his address, he highlighted the significance of sporting activities as an integral part of the education system, stating, "You cannot teach only the head and the heart and leave the hand," he emphasized adding, the three domains of education—intellectual development, morality, and skills development and stressed the importance of nurturing all aspects of a student's growth.

Robert Cudjoe also underscored the importance of unity among students and explained the value of socialization. Drawing from his experience as a teacher, the MP shared the joy of seeing prominent individuals emerge from the educational system and sensitized the students to Mahama's 24-hour economy policy while promoting peaceful elections.

As a demonstration of his support for the event, he generously donated GH¢2,000, jerseys, and trophies, which were warmly received by the organizers. He then expressed gratitude to the headteachers, parents, teachers, students, and organizers of the competition for their efforts.

In his closing remarks, Robert Wisdom Cudjoe extended his best wishes to all participating schools with the words, "May the best school win."
