Ghana will be looking for fresh start when they play against Chile in an international friendly in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

The build up to the friendly has been without the usual hype surrounding the Black Stars following their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final exit with key players also out due to injuries.

But Goran Stevanovic's young side are expected to seize the opportunity to prove themselves in a busy year of qualifying for the 2013 Nations Cup and the 2014 World Cup.

Captain John Mensah, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and the Ayew bothers, Andre and Jordan are all out with injuries while the Black Stars must do without Asamoah Gyan who has taken a temporary break from international football.

The Black Stars face the South American side, ranked 12th on the Fifa ranking table in what is sure to be a tough test and Stevanovic expects his side to put on a show.

First call-ups has been given to midfielder Afriyie Acquah, Richard Mpong, Dominic Oduro, Abdul Majeed Waris and Patrick Nyarko while the Glo Premier League's top scorer, Emmanuel Baffour also aims to make his senior debut.

Irrespective of the absence of key players, Stevanovic will be eager to avoid a third consecutive loss, after the defeat by Zambia and then a loss to Mali in the Cup of Nations third place play-off.
