The first Accra Polo Championship which started last Friday continues to provide exciting fixtures to polo lovers.
Two matches will be played tomorrow at 1500hrs at the Accra Polo Grounds behind Granada Hotel. The championship ends on Saturday, November 18. The competing teams are; Barbissorti' Katsina Prime Concrete, Local Four, Wod Nation Builders, and Pipas 4.
Players appearing for the Barbissort are Frank Adu, Kenneth Quartey, Daniel Awuah- Darko and Adamu Yaro. Katsina Prime Concrete will feature Kwakye Dopoa- Dei, Alhaji Sanni Baba, Ibrahim Mohammed and Jibo Garba.
Harold Awuah Darko, Rami Asckar, Pucci, Filleppi and Michael Beckley will wear Pipas Four outfits.
For Wod Nation Builders, Suleiman Iddrisu, Azam Abed, Bello Buba and Rashid Ibrahim will mount the horses for action, while Sahlawa Iro, Muhammed Kabiro, Yao Lee and Alexander Morgan will do battle for Pipax Four.
At stake is the Accra Open Polo Trophy. Meanwhile, Katsina Prime Concrete beat Wod Nation Builders 10-4 to move to the top of the table. A day before, the WNP beat Barbissotti by five and half to two goals in an exciting game.
In the other matches local drew 6-6 with Pipas Four, whilst WDP BEAT Pipas Four by 10 to seven and half goals.
