Prince Norgah annexed the 2017 Hunters National Pool Tournament at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday after defeating Otonne Oke Sunday 3-2 in the final.

After three rounds of play, Prince Norgah who hails from the Western Region of Ghana overcame Colabo Varney in the semis to set up the final against Nigerian Otonne Oke Sunday.

Sunday, a previous runners up set the ball rolling in the opening rounds of the final with a 2-0 comfortable lead. The Nigerian grew more wings courtesy the support from the fans who graced the occasion in their numbers.

However, luck eluded the Nigerian in the last two rounds when Ghana’s very own Prince Norgah crawled back in a magnificent style to set a 2-2 tie after four rounds.

After several minutes of play to no avail in round 5, Norgah mastered enough confidence to scoop the last black ball into the hole to win the 2017 Hunters National Pool Tournament for the first time.

Prince Norgah was awarded with a trophy with an equipped Snooker board and products from sponsors, whilst second placed Otoone Oke Sunday took home a Flat screen Tv as well as souvenirs from sponsors and finally, Colabo Varney took away a brand new Refrigerator as well as products form the sponsors for finishing third place.

“We are going to establish the snooker pool strongly, because if not so snooker players cannot go international and bring awards to Ghana.”
