Prof. Duodo is not a team player – Lutterodt

“Professor Duodo has been in office for the past 5 years or so. Not once has he ever called me to say Mr. Lutterodt, A, B, C, D, or E, not once! The people were discerning and the results were almost the same. I don’t know whether the wish of the delegates was truly reflected, because when the results were announced, we expected some cheering but the whole place was quiet.

Delegates were looking miserable all because Professor Duodo is a fine gentleman but he is not a team player.

He does things on his own without consulting anybody”, these were exactly the words of Mr. George Lutterodt, after losing the Presidential race of the Ghana Athletic Association to Professor Francis Duodo.

Mr. Lutterodt made the above statements when he was confronted with the question of whether or not he will support Professor Duodo with his ideas of developing athletics if he thinks he has any to move the sport forward.

He went on further to say that Professor Duodo is a very divisive figure and has therefore formed a clique for himself with whom he shares.

“Professor Duodo has a very divisive figure. He has a small clique that he works with and that makes a lot of people feel they are not part of the athletics association. If you talk to the likes of Andy Owusu in the States, they will all tell you. He is simply not a team player”, he concluded.
