A member of the defunct Normalization Committee, Naa Odofoley Nortey believes the Committee didn't get the benefit of doubt from the media when the NC took over power in the aftermath of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas exposé.
The NC under Dr. Kofi Amoah had a lot of backlash from the media, especially when some sections of the media felt that, the NC was doing the same things that the Nyantakyi led administration was doing.
Naa Odofoley in an interview with GhanaWeb Sports editor, Daniel Oduro, revealed that she had to ignore the happenings in the media in other for her to concentrate on her job for the Committee.
"From day one we were really not given a chance by the media and half way through the whole conversation was reduced to open abuse"
"So, for me at that point I really stopped caring and just had to focus on what I had to do. Most of the times I heard all manner of things which amused me"
She added that, “I appreciated the issues in Ghana football but perhaps I underestimated the enormity of the work and also I didn't expect the system to be the way it was when I came in but I quickly got myself oriented and got into it"
