RC Lens is reportedly considering the transfer of midfielder Salis Abdul Samed in the forthcoming transfer window, following a series of lacklustre performances in the current season.
Samed, who transferred from Clermont Foot in 2022 for €5 million, initially became an integral part of Lens, securing a one-year contract extension that would keep him at the club until June 2028.
His significant contributions previously helped the team secure the runners-up spot in Ligue 1 and a place in the Champions League, setting high expectations for his future performance.
However, this season, the Ghanaian international has fallen short of those expectations. His struggle for consistency has led to a loss of confidence in coach Franck Haise, as seen in his reduced playtime in recent games.
Despite the initial interest from various clubs in the talented midfielder, his current form has sparked concerns about securing a transfer to a fitting club in the next window.
Samed has been in the starting lineup for 17 Ligue 1 matches this season, with only eight starts in the year 2024.
