Cape Coast, May 17, GNA - The management of Cape Coast Bless FC has complained about the long stay of the Regional Football Association and appealed to the Central Regional Minister, Mr. Isaac Edumadze, to ensure that the region's congress was held in accordance with the constitution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Mr. Manase Asare, Chief Executive of club who made the appeal at Cape Coast said under the constitution of the GFA, RFA's are expected to go to congress every four years.
He said the present executives of RFA have, however, overstayed in office for 16 years and alleged that they run the association to suit their whims and caprices to the detriment of up and coming clubs in the region.
Commenting on the just ended Central Region Second Division MIddle league in which Abura Odonase Shalke 04 emerged the champions, Mr. Asare said he had to abandon the league after their match with Swedru All Blacks because most of the players were injured.
He therefore used the opportunity to render an apology to football fans in Cape Coast for the inconvenience that the club might have caused them.
Mr. Asare also attributed his club's defeat to All Blacks to what he described as "naked robbery and bad officiating by Referee Paul Afolendek". The team lost 1-2 through the dubious plans of the referee. He said from the onset, Class One Referee, Paul Afolendek awarded a dubious penalty against his club in the fifth minute and continued with his plans in the 36th minute when he showed a red card to Morgan Eshun, the coach of the club.
He said the referee also red carded Farrouk Iddris, a defender of the club in the 69th minute to worsen their plight.
According to Mr. Asare, the club however managed to play with 10 men to level up the scores in the 79th minute.
He said Referee Afolendek again in the 89th minute surprisingly whistled for a goal after a goal bound shot was scooped from the net to give the advantage to All Blacks.
