Stephen Baidoo In Yellow Card Controversy
Ghanaian International, Stephen Baidoo who plays for Turkish club, Sumsunpor is in the center of a yellow card controversy as Trabzonspor claim he was not qualified to play for Sumsunpor in their league game over the weekend.
Trabzonspor club officials claim Baidoo was declared an unqualified player after he was suspended prior to the Besiktas match, but the game was abandoned after 10 minutes. Baidoo played in the next match against Trabzonspor.
Officials of Trabzonspor are of the view that since the game between Sumsunpor and Besiktas was postponed, Baidoo should have been suspended for that match.
However Turkish Federation officials turned down Trabzonspor’s request and stated that Baidoo would only be suspended for the Besiktas game, which would be played on 10th October.
