Rajevac's language barrier is not a problem - GFA boss

Accra, July 9, GNA - President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has said the inability of Black Stars Coach, Milovan Rajevac to communicate fluently in the English language has not in any way affected his delivery and performance of duties.

"So far as I'm concerned the coach has delivered perfectly regardless of his inability to speak English language fluently and I don't think that should be a worry". Nyantakyi stated at a press conference in Accra on Friday.

Nyantakyi said the presence of a translator on the technical bench of the Black Stars has never been a liability to the GFA, adding that the FA is comfortable with the arrangement.

"It is not that the coach cannot speak the English language. In fact he can speak what I called telegraphic English.

"I communicate with him in English and I understand him perfectly, but the hiring of a translator is to enhance communication with the players". He stated.

Coach Rajevac, who is not fluent in the English language, has been relying on a translator to communicate with the media and the players of the national team.

However, his term of office has seen the Stars make appearances in the finals of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN), the Africa Cup of Nations and progressed to the quarter-finals at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
