Rashid Sumaila dominates headlines in Kuwait

Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has dominated the headlines in Kuwait for his stupendous performance for Al Qadsia in the Kuwait Premier League.

Rashid, 23, aided Al Qadsia to the Kuwait Premier League title as well as leading the youth side of the team to another championship title.

He won the best foreign player award in Kuwait and is highly recognized for his excellent defensive exploits.

His rock-solid defence ensured the Kuwaiti champions conceded the least number of goals for the first time in the club’s history.

The workaholic defender has been the talk of the Kuwait media after his impressive display for the champions with many describing him as an European-standard defender.

The former Dwarfs and Asante Kotoko center back is also in contention for the best defender of the Kuwait Premier League award.
