Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila is expected to join Russian club FK Tosno on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns by next week, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old has been axed from Sundowns’ Premier League squad for the season.
It has however emerged that the South African club have resolved to send the Black Stars defender on loan to the Russian second tier club.
Sundowns were unable to register Sumaila for their PSL campaign after exceeding their quota for foreign players.
They are however desperate to secure competitive football for the ex Ebusua Dwarfs defender after rejecting offers earlier in the summer.
Sumaila is expected to arrive in Russia next week to undergo a medical and then sign his loan agreement at Tosno after agreeing personal terms.
