Ravanelli promises to make Ghana league attractive if given Black Stars job

Coach Fabrizio Ravanelli has expressed commitment to make Ghana’s domestic league more attractive if he is appointed the next Black Stars coach, the Italian’s agent has said.

The Middlesbrough Legend, according to Mr Idowu Ismail Ewa, is acutely aware of the enormous talent in the country, claims that ill offer him the opportunity to have wide range of option to select his players.

Speaking to ghanaguardian.com, Mr Idowu said:”Ravenelli is a youth developer and has what it takes to discover talent in the domestic league.

“Ghana has enormous talent in their league and it will be a much benefit to the country to have such a man with a lot of knowledge of unearthing talents to handle the national team, which in a way will help make the league more attractive.”

The former manager of French Ligue 1 club, AC Ajaccio is among some 60 coaches who have applied to coach the Ghana senior National team.

Ravanelli started his coaching career with the Juventus youth team. He joined the club’s coaching staff in July 2011 and remained there until 2013 when he move to France to handle Ajaccio.

Many top coaches including Harry Redknapp, Frenchman Frank Dumas and Scottish Simon Menemy are among the tall list who have put in their CVs to be considered.

The Ghana job became vacant after Israeli Avram Grant announced his departure earlier this month after returning from the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
