Accra, Oct. 9, GNA - The re-launch of the 'Guide to Sports Journalism' has been fixed for Tuesday, October 13, at the British Council in Accra. John Vigah, author of the 510-page book told GNA Sports that the re-launch of the book has become necessary due to the low patronage since its maiden outdooring last November.

He partly attributed the low patronage of the book as a result of the tremendous fever during the General Election last December. "The elections fever during last year's General Elections was tremendous and it somehow swallowed up the entire event, not forgetting the fact that the launch coincided with the inauguration of the Jubilee House." The book which covers 25 sports disciplines is basically designed for practising and aspiring Sports journalists and for persons with passion for sports.

It covers a wide range of topics such as becoming a Sports Journalist, Sports Reporting, English Language, covering International Sports assignments, Code of Ethics for Journalists, Television and Radio Sports, Sports Journalism and the Law of Libel.

Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include Abdul Rashid Pelpuo, Minister of Youth and Sports, Worlanyo Agrah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council (NSC), Lepowura Alhaji Mohamed Nuru Deen Jawula, former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Boxing Legends, 'Professor' Azumah Nelson and Ike Quartey among others. 09 Oct. 09
