Serbian giants Red Star have rubbished reports that they have put their Ghanaian defender Lee Addy on the transfer list.

A section of the media have reported that the Black Stars defender is among 14 players being axed by coach Red Star coach Robert Prosinecki.

Addy, who has been the club’s most important defender over the past two years, has two years remaining with his contract with the club.

Prosinecki says Addy has expressed his desire to leave the club after receiving several offers from abroad.

“There are players who have expressed a desire to go and probably will, I say probably because I cannot say that something is for sure, if the job is not completed,” Robert Prosinecki told the club’s official website.

“Andrija Kaludjerovic and Lee Ade found clubs and we are negotiating with the clubs. It still remains that they are negotiating their contracts.

“They are almost already sold, but until the transfers are sealed, nothing is completely finished.”

Red Star who are in financial crisis will have to pay Addy off the remainder of his contract if he is transfer listed.

The Serbian club won’t let their most prized asset go for free when they know clubs in Europe and Asia are interested in him.

Addy has played in 13 of the club’s 15 matches this season.
