Reks Brobby makes mother proud after launch of 5th edition of Ghana’s Fastest Human

The Founder and CEO of Ghana’s Fastest Human, sportsman, and fashionista, Reks Brobby took to his social media wall to acknowledge his mother and some dignitaries who graced the launch of the 2017 GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human which is also Sponsored by Adidas the world’s leading sports brand.

The event which witnessed the President of the Republic of Ghana as the Special Guest of Honour, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, dignitaries and members of the sports fraternity gracing the occasion on Tuesday 25th April 2017 at the Adidas House, Airport-Accra.

Ghana’s Sports icon and brand ambassador of Adidas, Reks, used his official social media wall to acknowledged his mother who gracefully honoured the word of prayer at the end of the program and some dignitaries who were at the launch to support the event.

The event which started off with showers from the rain which abruptly stopped which appeared to “Biblical truth” – Showers of Blessings for the determined heart. This even made the event more colourful , glamorous and exciting.

Reks also acknowledged his father Mr. Brobby, President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Supreme Court Judge Justice Brobby, and Life Patron Nana Prah , GOC President, GNPC CEO, Sports Minister, Nene Nagai Kasa, Legacy President, Adidas CEO Valerie Fontanier, Rev. Campbell, black kobolor among others.

Meanwhile, the GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human is an athletes event geared towards unearthing talents in Ghana to compete internationally. The 5th edition of the 7years initiative is a collaborative work between Corporate Ghana and Government to organize 100-meter competitions across Ghana for males and females in Under 10, Under 15, Under 18 and Seniors categories.

Interestingly, Reks participated in the 1984 Olympic Games, got to the semi-final stage and was ranked the fastest in Africa in 1987 with his personal best of 10.08 seconds. He was the first Ghanaian to be sponsored and stayed with Team Adidas for 13 years as mentioned in Graphic.com.gh.
