‘Rest in Peace, Hans’ - Legon Cities FC mourn deceased ex-striker Hans Kwofie

Ghana Premier League outfit, Legon Cities FC has expressed sadness after learning about the passing of former striker Hans Kwofie.

The Ghanaian forward tragically passed away in a fatal car accident on Friday afternoon near Dadwen, close to Tarkwa in Ghana's Western Region.

The incident involved a vehicle reportedly owned by Samuel Nzemaba, a former defender for Ghanaian football giants Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, according to initial reports from the scene.

In a post on social media, Legon Cities FC extended the condolences of the club to the family, friends and loved ones of Hans Kwofie.

The club also prayed for peaceful rest for the attacker.

“We all at Legon Cities mourn the loss of our former player, Hans Kwofie, who wore our jersey with pride during the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏/𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐆𝐏𝐋 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧.

“Our thoughts and condolences go out to his loved ones. 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑰𝒏 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆, 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒔,” Legon Cities FC said in a post on X.
