Unlike the first half, which was dominated by Hasaacas, Mine stars played aggressively in the second half, outclassing Hasaacas in the greater part of the half but could not find their scoring boots. Had it not been for its strong defensive work, Hasaacas could have given in to pressure from the Mine Stars boys who they managed to hold at bay until they had the opportunity to score that lone goal. Both sides put up good performances but lacked coordination and the ability to put the ball into the net of their opponents.
In Koforidua, a 21st minute strike by newly signed Baba Nasiru playing at the inside left position for Power enabled his side to beat visiting B. A. United 2-0 in their match played at the Koforidua stadium.

Power had drawn two of its home matches and lost one .
The match which was watched by few spectators was a game of equals and entertaining until the 81st minute when the centre half of B. A. United , Alex Djane savagely attacked the inside right of Power, Alex Awuah. Referee Charles Dowuona who was close to the scene immediately showed him the exit.
Immediately he was shown the red card, Djane rushed on Referee Dowuona together with other players of B. A. United.
Some of the officials on the bench of B. A. United also joined the players on the field in attacking Referee Dowuona and it took the Police some time to calm the B. A. players down and for Djane to leave the field for the game to resume.
After the incident, the B. A. boys turned the game into a rough game kicking and hacking down their opponent to the disappointment of the spectators.
It was therefore a relief when the final whistle of the referee sounded to signal the end of proceedings.
King Faisal played a good game to grab the three-points at stake beating Banana Inn-based Stay Cool Professionals 3-1 in their match at the Kumasi sports stadium.
Faisal shot into the lead in the 32nd minute through Kwabena Opoku who beat two defenders on the trot and slammed the ball into the net beating goalkeeper Philip Boakye completely. With just four minutes to end the game, Stay Cool had a free kick outside the penalty box and Samuel Enezemaba made no mistake when he perfectly flicked the ball into the net.
Obuasi Goldfields scaled over a goal deficit to beat visiting Accra Great Olympics 3-1 in their match at the Len Clay Stadium. Goldfields victory will be credited to their two Camerounian players Valentine Atem and Bayard Issiaka whose perfect understanding saw them scoring in the 49th and 59th minute respectively to give their side a sweet victory.
The Minners had to struggle for over 26 minutes before they cancelled the visitors lead which they had in the 12th minute. The match itself took off with an electrifying start when Olympics made the first incursion but it was Goldfields who sent the crowd cheering with a 1st minute corner which was wasted. In the twelth minute dangerman Andy Pomayie outpaced a defender and sent a shot which hit the post for Daniel Offei to slot it into the net for the first goal.
With the fans anxious for the equaliser, the Miners, spearheaded by Shaibu Yakubu Atem and Issiaka worked themselves into the game and succeeded in snatching the equaliser in the 38th minute. Atem had the second goal for his side in the 49th minute after he had taken advantage of a clinical toss from James Boateng to head the ball home for a goal.
Goldfields had the third goal through Issiaka after he had received a pass from Atem and wasted no time in moving through the defence of Olympics before unleashing a shot which beat keeper john Adjetey in post for the wonder club.
