Ashantigold defender Richard Osei Agyeman has lamented over the lack of football activities in the country following the suspension of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender who joined the miners at the beginning of the season says it is worrying for players to train without competitive games.

The Obuasi based club have had an outstanding start to the season's Ghana Premier League, finishing the first round in second place but following the cross roads between government and the GFA, the topflight has been halted.

“The break in the league is not good at all, because you have to start all over again when the league resume. You can’t be training without playing football matches. Is very worrying for some of us.” He told Kessben Sports

“In Ghana, most of the players are not doing any work apart from football. So, when football is not going on some of us struggle to get something to feed our families. If care is not taken, we might end up doing some vices which are not good.”

“I’m calling on the government to speed up things so that we start playing soon,” he added.

FIFA has invited members of government and officials of the GFA to draw a road map for the resumption of football activities including the Ghana Premier League.
