Robert Lewandowski will bring his spell at FC Barcelona to an end at the close of the season, closing a four-year chapter in which he established himself as one of the club’s most reliable and influential forwards.

The Polish striker departs the Blaugrana after making a decisive impact with his goals, leadership, and relentless competitive edge.

Since arriving from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, Lewandowski was immediately tasked with leading Barcelona’s attack, and he quickly became the focal point of the team’s frontline.

Across all competitions, he leaves the club with 119 goals in 191 appearances, placing him among the top scorers in Barcelona’s modern history and confirming his status as one of the most effective forwards of his era.

Born in Warsaw on August 21, 1988, Lewandowski arrived in Catalonia already established as one of Europe’s elite strikers. He carried with him a decorated career and a reputation for consistency, professionalism and ruthless finishing in front of goal.

He made an instant impact in his debut season, helping Barcelona secure both La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup in 2022/23.

He scored 33 goals in 46 matches that campaign, finishing as La Liga’s top scorer with 23 goals and winning the Pichichi Trophy.

While that first season was impressive, his output remained consistently high. He netted 26 goals in 2023/24 and enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign with 42 goals in 52 appearances, finishing just short of another top scorer award behind Kylian Mbappé.

This season, he has added 18 more goals to his tally.

Beyond statistics, Lewandowski’s influence extended into the dressing room, where his leadership and professionalism set the standard for younger players.

During his time at the club, he won seven trophies, including three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups.
