The 14th edition of the Mfantsipim-Adisadel Fun Day Games has been launched in Accra with the event set to come off on Saturday, August 30 at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.

It came off successfully at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel last week, and, was massively attended by the (Old Boys) Mfantsipim School (MOBA) and Adisadel College (Santaclausians).

The launch was jointly performed by Dr. Francis Poku, Ebusuapanyin of the MOBA and Mr. Franklin Alan Nuamah, National President of the Adisadel Old Boys Association.

The theme for this year's edition is "Uniting a Generation of Change Makers", and is expected to bring together about 3,000 participants to compete in some selected sports events.

Dr. Poku commended the Games Committee for their efforts in putting this together, and, charged Old Boys of both schools make the most of this opportunity by putting up a good display of sportmanship on the day.

He wished for the success of this year's event hoping that the aim of raising funds to support developmental work in both schools, would be achieved.

Mr. Nuamah urged participants to put up the exemplary spirit that both schools are known for, an accolade he acknowledged, has seen them excel in many fields of endeavour for decades.

The overall winner’s trophy provided by the initiator of this event, Mr. Robert Mills and other souvenirs for the Games was unvield and its expected to be a healthy competition on the day.

Executives of the National Associations of the two schools and their three sister schools, namely Wesley Girls High School, Holy Child and Mfantsiman Girls, representatives Of Sponsors for the event were present at the launch.

The Mfantsipim-Adisadel will bring together old and present students, build a platform for business networking, offer patrons and sponsors the opportunity to share business experiences informally and provide companies with a platform to position their corporate products and/or services to the over 3000 people expected.

Activities lined up for the event include: Cricket (Old Boys), Football (Decade teams and round robin for the girls), Basketball (Old Boys in the Universities) athletics and a special ‘Jama competition’.

The Mfantsipim-Adisadel Fun Day Games is being sponsored by the Multimedia Group, the African University College of Communication (AUCC) and Union Savings and Loans Ghana Limited.
