Accra Sept 23, GNA- Mr. Rashid Bawa, Minister of State in charge of Education, Youth and Sport on Tuesday said the future of Ghana's sport depended to a large extend on the SESSA games which will take place in the last week of November this year.

He said sports development is on course because the Ministry and the government are putting structures in place to enable the country regain its lost glory on the continent and the world as a whole. Mr Bawa said this at the inauguration of a Sub Committees for the organisation of the SESSA games in Accra.

These include the Planning Committee, Organization and Technical Committee, Awards and Prizes Committee, Audit and Publicity Committee. The rest are Disciplinary, Refreshment, Sponsorship and the Jury of Appeal Committees.

Mr. Bawa urged the committees to be committed to the organisation of the games which he said has not been held for the past twelve years and there is the need to revive it adding that Ghana sports will succeed if the games are successfully organised.

He said the committees are bound to face problems in their work but expressed the hope that the enthusiasm and commitment of the members are indicative that they would ensure the success of the games.
