SOS organizes Ghana 2008 debate

Accra, Dec 13, GNA - SOS Children's Villages is to organise an inter-schools debate on Monday, December 17, 2007 in connection with the 26th MTN Ghana 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

The event which would involve six Junior High Schools from across the country is aimed at creating awareness about next year's event which pieces together the continent's best 16 teams and is scheduled for Arts Centre Hall, Accra opposite the Department of National Lotteries. A statement signed by Kojo Mattah, National Director of SOS Children's Villages copied to the GNA Sports said the debate is part of series of activities that will attempt to explore the role of football as an effective medium for peace and development.


The six participating schools are Tema Parents Association, Adabraka Presby Junior High , Bunso Roman Catholic High School, Taifa Community "3" Junior High and Tamale-based Alhassan Gbanzaba Memorial School.

About 400 guests including pupils from all participating schools, sports men and SOS partners from Austria and Germany are expected to grace the occasion. 13 Dec. 07
