SWAG launches 42nd Awards Night at MTN Headquarters tomorrow

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana together with telecommunication giants MTN will launch the 42nd edition of the MTN SWAG Awards at the MTN Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday April 4 2017.

The event, aimed at sparking awareness of the awards will see deserving outstanding sports personalities being recognised for their outstanding show in their fields in the 2016 season.

Sponsors of the awards, MTN, have bee loyal in their relationship with the most powerful journalist body in the country with their marriage reaching 8 years this year.

Many sports personalities in the country, including former Black Stars defender and now General Secretary of PFAG Anthony Baffoe, have been earmarked for various awards.

The FIFA General Coordinator will battle boxer Isaac Dogbe for the Sports Personality of the year while Emmanuel Amartey, Andre Ayew and Solomon Asante will battle for the footballer of the year award.
