Samartex to represent Ghana in 2024/25 CAF Champions League

Samartex is set to represent Ghana in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League after winning the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

They secured the slot by winning the Ghana league in only their second top-flight season.

However, they have yet to officially accept or announce their intentions of participating in Africa's highest club competition.

Samartex will hope to emulate Dreams FC, who made history by reaching the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals in their maiden season in Africa.

The Timber Giants clinched the title with two games remaining in the season after defeating Bibiani Goldstars on matchday 32.

They were officially crowned champions on Sunday, June 16, 2024, following a 2-0 home victory over Accra Lions at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

With this victory, Samartex finished the season with a total of 61 points from 34 games.

The atmosphere in Samreboi was electrifying as the team celebrated their league triumph in style.

Having emerged as champions, Samartex is expected to receive a whopping GH₵500,000.
