Young Apostles FC chairman Sammy Anim Addo has lauded the Ghanaian team's efforts at the recently concluded UEFA U16 International Development Tournament in Russia.
Despite not reaching the final, Laryea Kingston's squad displayed considerable potential, bouncing back from an initial 4-1 loss to Russia by decisively beating Serbia and Kazakhstan with a score of 5-1.
On his official social media account, Anim Addo expressed his pride: "You made Ghana proud at the UEFA U16 Tournament. Keep on keeping on, boys, and stay focused. Big ups to the Laryea Kingston-led Technical Team. You have embarked on a great project for the future; I see greatness ahead, so keep pushing and remember, 'Everyday is Business.' Thank you."
The experience gained at this tournament is expected to be invaluable for the team as they prepare for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U17 Championship, set to be hosted by Ghana.
The championship is scheduled to take place from May 15 to May 28, 2024.
