Sammy Kuffour fought for us so I will do it for you guys - Sulley Muntari's words to Lee Addy in Ghana camp

Former Black Stars player Lee Addy has described his ex-teammate Sulley Muntari as one of the nicest players he has encountered.

According to the former defender, Muntari took it upon himself to advocate for the welfare of his teammates, ensuring fairness and improvements in the players' lives.

He remarked that the ex-Inter Milan player made a memorable statement that has stuck with him to date.

"Sulley Muntari said something I won't forget. He mentioned that Kuffour was the one who fought for us, so now it's his turn to fight for us," Lee Addy recounted during an interview with Ernest Brew Smith.

He then quizzed, "Considering the current Black Stars, if there is an issue, which player do you think will stand up for the players?"

Although Muntari has come across as tough, Lee Addy said, "Sulley is one of the kindest individuals. He is always ready to stand up for us."

He continued, "The last time I met him, he inquired about my current business ventures. He advised me to either pursue a coaching course or start any business of my choosing."

Lee Addy played in the 2010 World Cup with the Black Stars.
