Anthony Baffoe says Samuel Osei Kuffour was ill-advised into granting an interview about his plans for Asante Kotoko even before his appointment as ‘President’ is made official.
The former Bayern Munich star has been left in a limbo as to whether he will indeed be handed the club as he claimed in an interview with Accra-based Metro TV.
Asante Kotoko owner Otumfour Osei Tutu II is reported to be unhappy with the premature revelation of Kuffour of his imminent appointment even before it is made official.
Grapevine sources now suggest the former Ghana defender who is a member of club’s current board will be ditched entirely for someone else if indeed the owner decides to make a fresh appointment on who runs the club.
Many have since criticized Sammy Kuffour as being naive into granting the interview ahead of his official appointment.
And former Ghana defender Anthony Baffoe who is a close confidant of Kuffour believes his friend was misled into granting the interview which could ultimately prove to be his downfall.
“I think the person who interviewed him should have known better,” Baffoe told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“Journalism, good. But if you have a relationship with somebody, you should also be able to advice the person.”
