Samuel Akurugu close to joining Asec Mimosas

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu is close to joining Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas, according to multiple reports.

Akurugu has reportedly arrived in Abidjan to complete formalities with the Yellow and Whites.

The gloves man is seeking a move away from the Ghanaian powerhouse after falling down the pecking order.

He made only 10 appearances for the Phobians last season.
