The EA Sports Player Performance Index revealed that Ghana’s Jeffrey Schlupp is the second most pacey player in the Premier League this term.

The energetic left back has hit a top speed of 35.26km/hr this campaign which is only second to his Leicester team-mate Jamie Vardy by 0.18km/hr.

Other Foxes who made the list are fourth-place Marc Albrighton, once of Aston Villa, at 35km/hr, sixth-placed Ritchie De Laet [34.97km/hr] and 10th-placed Wes Morgan [34.76km/hr].

The appearances of De Laet and Morgan, as well as Sunderland’s Billy Jones [third], Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels [ninth] and Jenkinson of West Ham mean that half of the fastest players in the English top flight are defenders.

The only forward to make the list with Vardy is Stoke City’s Mame Biram Diouf, who has reached a high speed of 34.97km/hr this season, in seventh position.

Here is the list of the top ten fastest players in the Premier League so far this season:

1. Jamie Vardy – 35.44km/hr.

2. Jeffrey Schlupp – 35.26km/hr.
