Schools athletics today

THE Annual Greater Accra Second Cycle School Zonal Athletics competition begins today at the Accra Sports Stadium with Zone One Schools competing.

The defending champions in the boys' division, (Kinbu Secondary/Technical and Temasco) and girls' division (St. Mary's Secondary School) will face stiff opposition from Adasec, Amansaman Secondary, Chemsec, Chrimesco, Ebenesco, Ghanata, Hotcass, Kateco, Medass, Ngleshie-Amanfro Secondary, Ninsec, Ossa, O'reisco, La Presec, and Wass.

Mr Emmanuel Fort Tsaku, immediate past headmaster of Ghanata Secondary School will peform the opening ceremony while Mr Owusu Ansah, former headmaster of Temasco performs the closing ceremony.

The two-day competition which will end tomorrow is expected to be highly competitive.

The Zone Two competition will begin on Monday March 17.
