Sec-Gen of Table Tennis Association leaves for Greece

Accra, June 11, GNA - The Secretary General of the Ghana Table Tennis Association, (GTTA) Kwame Amponfi Jnr. has left Ghana for Greece to participate in the 49th International Session for Young Participants of the International Olympic Academy in Athens, Greece. Amponfi Jnr, who is Ghana's sole representative at the session, was nominated by the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), following the demonstration of impressive administrative skills over the past few years at the National Sports Council (NSC).

The session which spans from June 10 - June 24, will take participants through lectures on the Olympic Games as a celebration, the Pan-Hellenic Games in Ancient Greece, Olympic Pedagogy, the humanistic Pierre De Coubertin, Olympic Education programmes in China and their post - Olympic implementation amongst other topics. Mr. Amponfi on his return will coordinate the International Olympic Academy programme in Ghana on part-time basis through the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

Mr Amponfi Jnr expressed gratitude to the GOC for the confidence reposed in him and promised to live up to expectation.
