The Black Stars of Ghana have left the country today, embarking on their journey to Libya for a critical second-leg encounter against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
This fixture marks the second meeting between the two sides, as Ghana aims to improve their standing in Group F.
The first leg, held at the Accra Sports Stadium, ended in a frustrating 0-0 draw. Despite dominating possession and creating chances, the Black Stars could not break through Sudan’s defence, leaving head coach Otto Addo and his team under increased pressure to deliver results.
Currently sitting in third place with just two points from two games, Ghana's path to AFCON qualification is growing narrower.
A win in the upcoming match is now vital for the team to strengthen their hopes of advancing to the tournament, which will be hosted in Morocco next year.
