Former Egypt coach Hassan Shehata has tipped the Ghana to advance to the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals at the expense of the Pharaohs.
The seven-time African champions face the Black Stars over two-legs in the play-offs for a ticket to play in Brazil.
Ghana will play the first leg at home on 13 October in Kumasi before the return leg in mid-November.
Shehata believes Ghana, with their high-profile players in the major European Leagues, hold the aces to secure a third consecutive slot .
"When the draw was made, I think Ghana-Egypt will be a difficult match for both teams because many years they have played and all was good game,'' Shehata told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
"If you look at the situation now, Ghana has top players and are always the top in every match they play.
"Egypt will fear because Ghana is top to win but all what Egypt will need is about belief and they can also win it and go to the World Cup to please the heart of people.
"In Kumasi, I have played there and I know the people are lovely and special for Egypt but Ghana no more than Egypt in Kumasi.''
Shehata was the longest serving Egypt coach from 2004-2011 and won three consecutive Africa Cup of Nations titles.
