Sillsport donates boxing items worth £1,200 to NSC

Mr. Christopher Ato Forsyte, owner and founder of Glentoran Academy in Sunyani, accompanied by Mr. Kwame Anning Frimpong, Personal Assistant to the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister and on behalf of Sillsport Group, a sports Management outfit based in the United Kingdom have donated items mainly Boxing Equipment to the National Sports Council(NSC) in Sunyani.

The items donated cost £1,200 and included Spar Head Guard, Hooks and Jab Pads, Pointing Gloves, Spining Gloves and Punching Bag. Others were Sit-on-Mower for clearing the Suniani Coronation park.

The items were received by he new and back-to-batan Regional Sports Development Officer, Mr. Doku Duodu. Also present were the Secretary for the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association, Mr.Munufie, staff members of the National Sports Council in Sunyani as well as the media.

Nana Yaw Konadu, former WBA and WBC Super flyweight and Bantamweight champion who is the current Regional Boxing Coach was also present.Konadu thanked the Sillsport Group for their kind guesture, which he said will go a long way to help his ambition to unearth boxing talents in the region.

The sports development officer, Mr Doku Duodu also appealed to the public to help efforts to build a boxing ring in Sunyani and was grateful to the organisation Sillsport Group for that wonderful gesture and believe with this donations the region will soon get another Nana Yaw Konadu.
