Accra, March, 8-GNA- Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, on Tuesday lamented the frequency of lawsuits in Ghana's Football administration saying, "Soccer should not be played in the Court room."

"Soccer should stay out of the court room," he declared. Mr Amoah, a past member of the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association, appeared before the Appointment Committee of Parliament.

He said sports had not had due attention for a long time hence its poor showing.

"Sports has been left behind. It is the forgotten right and if it is always seen as a pass time, we will end up in this situation (poor results)."

On Education, he said, parents should be educated on the need to send their children to school, adding that it was the best investment anyone could make in a child.

He said government's new reforms would make the necessary impact on national development since in the past a lot of emphases were placed on general education rather than science, vocational and technology.
