Asante Kotoko striker, Songne Yacouba has been handed his debut call-up by the head coach of Burkina Faso ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritania.
The energetic forward earned the invitation following his sparkling performance at the Ghana Premier League side since joining them in 2018.
Burkina Faso will face Mauritania in their last Group game in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Yacouba will not be part of Asante Kotoko team that will face Zesco United in Zambia due to suspension.
He becomes the fourth Asante Kotoko player to earn a national team call-up for the 2019 AFCON qualifiers after Kwame Bonsu, Amos Frimpong and Felix Annan.
Yacouba has netted two goals with two assists in his nine appearances for Asante Kotoko in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
