Solomon Asante nominated for most valuable player of the year

Phoenix Rising FC Ghanaian attacker, Solomon Asante, has been nominated for USL most valuable player of the year at the halfway point of the season.

The silky passing attacking gem registered a league-leading 66 goal scoring chances to add to his six strikes to earn nominations for the MVP of the season at the halfway point of the campaign.

The former TP Mazembe and Berekum Chelsea FC attacker clocked six assists and six goals for Phoenix Rising FC in the United Soccer league to pick his slot alongside four other players for the Most Valuable player of the season gong.

The Ghanaian ace is been joined by Thomas Enevoldson, Emmanuel Ledesma, Khalton Belmar and Neco Brett for the Most Valuable player of the year.

Solomon Asante ended his trophy-laden era at the Lumumbashi stadium in DR Congo for pastures anew in the USL having risen through the ranks of Ghana premier league side, Berekum Chelsea FC.
