Black Stars winger Solomon Asante has sent a word of cautioning to his teammates to desist from complacency ahead of the group stage of the 2017 Total CAF Confederation Cup.
TP Mazembe have been drawn in Group D alongside Supersport, Horoya, CF Mounana but Solomon Asante is of the view that the only way to escape from their group is to attach equal importance to each match.
“I think it’s a tricky group and we have to be very careful of our opponents, especially Horoya Athletic Club who won it in 1978,” Solomon Asante said in an interview.
“They have a good record when it comes to Africa club competitions. CF Mounana also eliminated Ivorian giant, Asec Mimosas to reach this stage so no one can discount them,” he noted.
“Supersport United are very good side. In fact, they need no introduction so we are going to tackle each and every match with all the seriousness it deserves so we can reach the finals,” the diminutive winger added.
