Some 'corrupt' local coaches only want national team jobs- Inter Allies chief Willie Klutse blasts

Ex-Ghana international Willie Klutse, has turned the screws on some local coaches whom he accuses of being interested in only national teams because of the largesse it comes with.

Klutse, who is technical director at Inter Allies, questioned why some of the local coaches run away of handling teams in the Ghana Premier League.

The 1978 Africa Cup of Nations star claims coaches have rejected handling his club because they consider themselves as national team coaches.

''Some of these local coaches just want to coach the national teams because of the chance they will get to travel and make money. They don't care about the team. Because of corruption and the money they will make from milking players' managers, they want the job,'' he told Happy FM.

''I have spoken with many of them to come and coach Inter Allies but they normally say no because they see themselves as national team coaches.''

Klutse also advised the Ghana Football Association to appoint a competent coach to succeed Kwesi Appiah and not necessarily a local man.

''The next Black stars coach can be a black or white man it doesn’t matter it the GFA must set a clear target for the person,'' he added.
