Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi, has attributed his long-term injury to black magic, alleging that someone has cast a spell on him.
The former Medeama player, who could not understand how his injury had persisted for nearly a year, claimed it could only be due to black magic.
Speaking with Sompa FM, he said he has never resorted to using black magic himself but is certain that those who target him do not have peace.
"With the way my injury has been, I think there's something behind it. But if you used black magic on me, none of us are playing now. If you used black magic, the goal is now empty. None of the three goalkeepers is in the goal," he said.
"I've never used black magic before. You might use it on me, but you will also not have peace."
He revealed that his injury was a meniscus tear after undergoing an assessment at the hospital.
"The doctors said it was a meniscus tear in my right knee. I feel pain when I bend my knee," he explained.
A meniscus tear is a common football injury that typically requires surgery. The recovery time for a meniscus tear is between four to six weeks after surgery.
Eric Ofori Antwi joined Hearts of Oak in 2022, signing a three-year contract until 2025.
