South Africa’s Sundowns for Ghana Soccer Confab

Leading South African club Mamelodi Sundown’s Brand Manager Joan Ramagoshi has been roped in as a speaker at the first African Football Executive Summit, the organisers have announced.

Other confirmed South African speakers in the gathering to be hosted in Accra are former World Cup 2010 Chief of Communications Rich Mkhondo, who is now Head of Communications at multi-national mobile company MTN.

SuperSport Head of Africa Gary Rathbone completes the list of speakers from 'Mzansi' who are to share their knowledge with leading members of the African and international football fraternity.

Speaking at the Soccerex Business Convention in Manchester, England, a member of the organising team Felix Donkor said that "we are really pleased to have Sundowns on board. They will share with us ideas on what the club is doing in putting its brands out there where it matters most and that is amongst the supporters."

The former Miss South Africa is credited with being a part of the revitalized fan base of the 'Brazilians', who have branches across the country. They have been better known as 'Bafana ba style' (stylish boys) since billionaire Patrice Motsepe took over.

The event takes place over two days - May 26-27 2011 - at the Alisa Hotel, Accra Ghana. The German Bundesliga, a known supporter of African football, will be represented by its Managing Director Jorge Daubitzer.
