Spiritualist: I'm responsible for Kotoko's woe

A renowned spiritualist, Nana Kobi, based in Seikwa in the Brong Ahafo Region has revealed that he is the cause of the problems of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and until the club honours a promise of three years ago, they will continue to suffer.

Nana Kobi says he has worked with Kotoko since 1985 as spiritual consultant for the club’s key and tough matches citing particularly an African Cup Winners’ Cup tie against Egyptian side Zamalek in 1987 which Kotoko of course won 5-1. The spiritualist disclosed that Kotoko officials failed to honour their promise to buy him an electric generator until Herbert Mensah fulfilled that promise in his time as Kotoko CEO.

Nana Kobi has also pointed out that the latest problem stems from three years ago when 8 top officials of the Kumasi club including Jarvis Peprah,Yamoah Ponkoh and Alhaji Njie promised to send one of his sons abroad after he had helped them win the President’s Cup, Premier League and the pre-season Top 4. Unfortunately, according to the renowned spiritualist, Kotoko have yet to honour the pledge, for which reason he is punishing them. “I won’t help them again and until they come and fulfill their promise, they will continue to suffer,” Nana Kobi said.

In another development, Gideon Baah's manager Alex Ohene has also claimed in an interview with Ark FM that Accra Hearts of Oak are responsible for the player’s injury. Mr. Ohene says a spiritual leader of Hearts sent one of his twins posing as a Nigerian boy to take money from Baah 2 hours before the game which influenced the player’s injury during the league match in Kumasi last Sunday.

He added that Hearts targeted Baah through spiritual means in order to win that game. Gideon's leg is still getting worse and the Doctors are waiting until after surgery to reveal its intensity but insiders believe the player could be sidelined for up to eight months.
