The Ministry of Youth and Sports have congratulated Ghana's national U-20 team for sealing qualification to the Africa Youth Championship in Niger next year.
The Black Satellites drew 1-1 with their Benin counterparts, ensuring they qualified on a 4-2 aggregate scoreline.
The home side opened the scoring through forward Bio Odo Chabi, but Ghana restored parity through WAFA midfielder Prosper Ahiabu five minutes to end the game.
Following their success, the Ministry of Youth and sports congratulated them on their achievement despite the suspension of domestic football, which was expected to affect them.
