Stand firm Dr KK Sarpong- Ex- Kotoko PRO

Former Asante Public Relationship Officer Harunah Mohammed has urged Asante Kotoko’s Board Chairman Dr KK Sarpong on to remain resolute despite the current crisis in his quest to restore the club’s lost fortunes.

He said on ‘Where are they?’ this morning that: “Dr KK Sarpong should not give up the fight, despite the challenges confronting the club rather, he should take inspiration from desperation and fight on.” He added : “He should stand firm, it is difficult but if he put the right structures in place , the club will bounce back.”

Harunah cited Liberty Professionals as a classical example of a club that has put proper structures in place. He revealed that traditional clubs like Kotoko and Hearts lack such structures, hence their not too impressive performance lately. The affable PRO praised the Ghana Football Association (GFA) copiously for securing the Glo sponsorship deal, which according to him, has relieved the premier clubs from financial burdens.

Revealing what made him outstanding during his tenure, he pointed out that he went the extra mile to ensure that he was ahead of journalists by way of information throughout the week. He described the PR job at Kotoko as his most difficult work saying, “I sometimes go as far as to the supporters to seek their opinion, what their needs are.” He noted that he has been on the quiet for sometime now, but has been very active on the side lines y way of club administration.

Harunah also praised Happy FM’s morning show host Charles Osei Asibey copiously for his works saying, “You are doing a great job, programs like this reminds us of the past and inspires the younger generation in their quest to reach greater heights.”
