Accra, Aug. 2, GNA - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that Ghana's Black Starlets will face the Junior Chipolopolos of Zambia in the qualifiers of Rwanda 2011 Championship.

This follows the disqualification of Uganda for fielding an over-aged player during their preliminary clash against the Zambians.

The Ugandans were 3-1 aggregate winners but the Zambians protested over the use of Ivan Ntegge following discrepancies in the age of the player.

Information gathered by GNA Sports from the CAF Secretariat said that after critical consideration, the Organising Committee of CAF ruled that Ntegge was indeed over-aged and has subsequently disqualified the Ugandans from participating in the qualifiers.

"We have the pleasure to confirm to you the decision of CAF Organising Committee for the U-17 competition to disqualify Uganda's U-17 team from the competition.

"Consequently, your U-17 (Zambia) team is qualified for the next round of the competition," CAF said in a statement to the Zambian Football Association.

Zambia will host the first leg on the weekend of August 27-29 with the return encounter slated for Accra on the weekend of September 10-12.

The winner will face either Guinea or Senegal at the final round.

Rwanda will host the final championship from January 7 to January 22 in 2011.
