Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey
Arsenal fans have pleaded with the club’s manager Mikel Arteta to start Thomas Partey in the remaining games of the season after his impressive cameo against Wolves.
The Gunners believe a midfield trio of Partey, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice gives the team the needed balance as evidenced in their game against Wolves on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Thomas Partey played 20 minutes in the game that ended in a 2-0 win for the North London side. His presence in the final minutes gave Arsenal control, which led to their second goal in stoppage time.
The game was his fifth appearance for the club since returning from injury in March 2024.
The 31-year-old's season has been disrupted by injury, and he has only played nine Premier League games in 2023/2024.
Arsenal sit top of the Premier League with 74 points following the win over Wolves. Some fans believe starting Partey in the remaining games will help the club in their quest to win the Premier League.
The Gunners have the same number of points as Liverpool and are one point ahead of Manchester City, who still have a game to play.

Partey came on last night and all of a sudden, we looked energised. Rice was driving past players, Saka came alive, and Havertz was a menace up top. I want him to start against Chelsea. It's evident some players are more effective in certain positions, and Partey allows that.
