A twenty-one member contingent of players and officials of first division Stay Cool Football Club was due to leave Accra last night for Italy to participate in the Invitational SS Osimo Memorial soccer tournament.
The contingent, made up of 17 players and four officials, is being led by the President of the club, Alhaji Franko Lamptey.
Sixteen teams are expected to participate in the two-week long tournament with Stay Cool as the only club invited from Africa.
According to the chairman of Stay Cool, Farouk Omarking, the tournament kicks off with the opening match between Stay Cool and Lazio of Serie A youth side on Friday.
Stay Cool will play their second match against Ancona on Saturday and play the third in the preliminary series of the tournament on Sunday.
Stay Cool are expected back home on August 28.
